Poster abstract submissions are now open
The International Medicine in Addiction (IMiA) 2023 Conference invites abstract submissions for a poster presentation at the conference.
Before preparing your poster abstract submission, please read the information below.
Before submitting your abstract, ensure you read the below guidelines carefully – all information that you require is included below.

Poster Information
Posters will be available for viewing for the duration of the conference. Successful applicants will be required to display their poster at the conference utilising the provided poster template. Authors must be available to stand by their poster to discuss the poster findings as required during the allocated poster viewing times.

- All poster abstract submissions must be submitted electronically through the abstract submission portal.
- Submission titles must not be longer than 20 words and should be brief and explicit.
- Submissions must not exceed 250 words, be clear and concise, highlight relevant aspects, findings and conclusions.
- Where applicable, the abstract should include the subheadings; Background, Objectives, Methods, Findings and Conclusions.
- The submitting author must ensure that all co-authors have read the approved title, summary, presenter names and affiliations.
- The submitting authors must declare any conflict of interest.
- Notification of acceptance/timing/presentation/discussion will be included in email correspondence sent to the submitting author.
- Acceptance/timing/presentation/discussion of all posters are at the discretion of the Organising Committee.
- If the submission is selected, consent is provided for the abstract to be published by the IMiA 2023 Conference and shared with delegates of the conference.
- All correspondence relating to the submission will be sent to the submitting author only and it is their responsibility to distribute to all co-authors.
- All successful applicants are required to register for the conference and pay the appropriate registration fee. No funding will be provided.
By submitting an abstract you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
- I commit with the present data protection and privacy policy
- I take full responsibility for the content of my abstract and poster presentation.
- I understand that any case studies in the content of my abstract and poster presentation should not identify any patient details.
- I understand that my submission reflects the data and material that is held in the IMiA 2023 Conference database. I acknowledge that I have checked this page for accuracy, and I am satisfied with the information contained therein including abstracts that I have asked to be replaced.
- I understand that, while I retain ownership of the copyright of my presentation, the IMiA 2023 Congress and its secretariat may publish my abstract in the program/handbook, book of abstracts, media releases, conference app and on the conference website.
- I confirm my abstract is original and has not been previously published or presented at another event.
- I declare the work described in the abstract has appropriate approval under local, ethical and animal experimentation rules
- I give permission for my abstract to be published in the program/handbook and book of abstracts.
- I understand abstracts will be proofread in preparation for publication and may be changed, if necessary, by the conference organisers. I also understand that the integrity of the abstract will remain the same and any changes will be for grammatical purposes only.
- I understand I should not use my presentation as a means of selling my organisation’s products or services.
- I undertake to provide all required items to the Conference Office by the appropriate deadlines.
- No funding is provided to accepted authors.
- All documents, memoranda, notes and records relating to the conference produced by either MCI, its agents, the staff or representatives of the IMiA 2023 Conference are, and remain, the property of the IMiA 2023 Conference.
