Billie Bonevski is Professor of Public Health and Lead of Public Health, College of Medicine and Public Health, Flinders University, SA. She is also an Honorary Professor at the University of Queensland where she is co-Director of the NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence on Achieving the Tobacco Endgame and an Honorary Professor at the University of Newcastle, where she was previously an NHMRC research fellow. Billie is a senior behavioural scientist with a record of delivering on rigorous behaviour change interventions on an individual, system and population level. Her highly translational research is embedded in the community, funded through continuous category 1 grants for the last 12 years and published in over 200 peer reviewed articles. In 2022 she was named one of the worlds top 20 authors on smoking cessation and currently leads the NHMRC NEAT trial of e-cigarettes for smoking cessation in drug and alcohol settings.
